Course Objectives The aim of this course is to make the students understand the professional terms of Opticianry and prepare for further applications.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Define the terms related to opticianry
  • Describe the professional duties and responsibilities
  • Explain the issues according to Opticianry Law
  • Define frames of eyeglasses and classify them
  • Classify optical lenses with chemical structure and diopter
Course Description This course contains; Introduction to professional terms, introduction to professional duties and responsibilities, discussion to current Opticianry law in Turkey, introduction to optical lenses, introduction to eyeglasses frames, measuring eyeglasses frame size, diopters and classification of the eyeglasses with diopter and chemical structure.
